With PhilHealth's own eKonsulta software shutting down on July 1, 2026, we’ve received many questions about what our YAKAP certification means for you.

🛑 The "Instant YAKAP" Myth

The Myth: "Since SeriousMD is a certified YAKAP platform, I can now start accepting YAKAP patients in my private practice."

The Fact: YAKAP accreditation is facility-based, not doctor-based.

• The Facility Must Be Accredited: Your specific clinic or hospital must be accredited by PhilHealth for YAKAP.
• The software is a Tool: SeriousMD is the software you use to submit data once your facility is already accredited.
• Accreditation Doesn't "Follow" You: Being a YAKAP doctor at a facility does not automatically make your private clinic a YAKAP provider.
